Privacy Policy for Data Interview AI
Data Interview AI helps you practice data interviews by generating mock questions and feedback. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Data We Collect
- Profile details: target role, experience, current role, and preparation status.
- Interview content: messages you type and responses generated for you.
- Technical/usage data: IP address, timestamps, error logs, and rate‑limit counters for reliability and abuse prevention.
How We Use Data
- To provide interview prompts, examples, and feedback.
- To generate new questions when requested.
- To maintain service reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Third‑Party Processing
We send your prompts to Google’s Generative Language API ("Gemini") to generate content. You can learn more about Google’s approach to privacy for generative AI on their official resources. We do not share your data with advertisers.
Storage & Retention
- Profile data is stored on your device. If your OS account syncs device data, your OS vendor may process it according to their policy.
- Interview content is transmitted to our backend and forwarded to Gemini for generation.
- We do not retain server logs beyond transient processing needed to deliver the service and ensure reliability.
- AI‑generated questions saved by you are stored on your device; we do not retain server‑side copies.
Security
All communications use HTTPS. API keys are stored on our server and are not embedded in the app. We implement access controls, rate‑limiting, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure—avoid sharing sensitive personal or confidential information.
Your Choices & Rights
- To request deletion of your data, contact us at hongleil1994@gmail.com.
- If you prefer not to use AI processing, please don’t submit content in the app.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Children’s Privacy
Data Interview AI is not intended for children under 13 (or the age of consent in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
International Transfers
Data may be processed in other countries (including by Google) with different data protection laws.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with an updated effective date.
